Abruzzo wine route
1 week in Abruzzo: tour of regional wineries
Why visit Abruzzo?
If you are wondering what are the reasons to visit Abruzzo by car, read my itinerary about what I think are the main wine stops in Abruzzo.
The Abruzzo wine itinerary takes place in the green region of Europe and in particular in that hilly area that goes from the Adriatic coast to the Apennine chain. This area is characterized by very favorable climatic and natural conditions for viticulture, making Abruzzo one of the most important regions from an enological point of view thanks to products such as Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo and Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo .
This wine tour of Abruzzo starts from Pescara, the most important urban center in Abruzzo, and includes important regional naturalistic and cultural stops located in wine-growing areas where several wineries, which have been producing wines for decades, are open to tourism offering visitors tasting experiences and visits to vineyards.
